The master plan for the Hankede Project in Addu City has been concluded by Spaces Inc. This significant project will be the first initiative for the development of an integrated tourism zone in the Maldives. This project was granted to the Maldives Fund Management Corporation (MFMC) through a presidential decree on December 2, 2021, aiming to diversify the tourism in Southern region of the country.

The Hankede Project will introduce a variety of amenities and activities in a centralized location, designed to boost tourism and create employment opportunities in Addu. The development will include multiple commercial facilities such as restaurants, bars, gyms, spas, convenience stores, and banquet halls.

Additionally, the project will feature institutional facilities like a visitor center and health and commercial services, catering to both tourists and the local community. For recreation, plans include a multi-sports center, a cinema, and a water-sports center, offering a range of leisure activities.

The completion of the master plan marks a key milestone in the project, which aims to energize the local economy and enhance direct engagement within the service sector.
